17 African LEADERS ARE IN in St. PETERSBURG FOR RUSSIA'S TWO-DAY SUMMIT

17 African leaders are in St. Petersburg for Russia's two-day summit on cooperation with the continent. The first such gathering in Russia in 2019 involved 43 African leaders. This week, the summit delegates are expected to focus on the Black Sea grain deal, which Russia has just terminated. Putin has also expressed his desire to see the African Union (AU) become a full member of the G20 club of nations. Why do you think most African leaders have skipped this summit? And what do you expect those who are there to achieve?
