COMMONWEALTH PLEDGES TO SUPPORT NIGERIA TO CONDUCT REDIBLE ELECTIONS
The Commonwealth Observation Mission has pledged to support Nigeria in conducting free, fair and credible elections.
The Commissions Secretary General, Patrica Scotland made the pledge during her visit to the Nigeria Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, Nigerian capital.
Patricia commended the signing of Peace Accord by the Presidential candiated and urged them to respect the agreement to ensure peaceful and credible elections.
She commended former Nigerian president, Abdulsalam Abubakar and former Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Anna who initiated the Signing of Peace Accord Agreement that helped in strengthening Nigeria Democracy.
