Heavy gunfire has been heard today, Friday, in Burkina Faso's capital, Ouagadougou, emanating from both the main military base and some nearby residential areas.
According to Reuters, several armed soldiers were seen close to the presidential palace, some office buildings, and the national television station, which has stopped broadcasting.
